Laptop for photo editing:
Dell Inspiron 15R with intel i5-3210M 8GB RAM / 1TB HDD $479
Note that the processor is a 3rd generation Ivy Bridge intel processor. I just don't know how many USB ports it has, or if any are USB 3.0.

Fisheye lenses: both of these are identical (just different brands). I don't have a Samyang/Rokinon/ProOptic fisheye but I do know that it has among the most even distortion for fisheyes. Note that these are manual only. FYI there is a version that includes a chip (for focus confirmation, and auto exposure) -- see this eBay search. I don't think these particular items have it. You may want to check. To get an idea for the kinds of images you can get with this kind of lens check out our review of the Tokina 10-17 Fisheye

This is the cheapest price for MarkIII I've seen so far. By the way, they say that the price for MarkIII as well as Nikon D600 will come down even further once the 6D is available for sale.

Wow that deal sounds almost too good to be true. I also thought that electronics were more expensive down under. Have you tried this retailer?
DeleteYes i think you're right about the d600 price.
Best regards,
Mic
Yes Mic, true. Not just electronics but everything is bit expensive here down under compared to our Asian Neighbors. But this web site actually operates from Hong Kong so they have (arguably) the lowest possible price we can expect.
DeleteI've had a lot of dealings with this site, bought quite a few lenses from them, no issues so far.

Thanks! That's reassuring.
