It makes sense because up close to the light source, small distance means a lot. <br /><br />The farther the light is.. the difference in exposure between the same distance is minimal. As I am learning more about portraiture I am also learning to be more sensitive to the different light characteristics (independent of efficiency) of the different modifiers just like the way you compared them.
